Pierse Stevens is an actor, author and screenwriter living in Maidstone in Kent. Pierse has been acting for over thirty five years on stage, screen, radio and voiceover. Pierse stage career started at the tender age of 18 and in that very first year he landed the role of the eponomous youthful anti-hero Billy Liar in a provincial theatre production of the play – a good few years later he played Billy’s father, Geoffrey, in another production of the same play! He has gone on to achieve great critical success and is an award winning stage actor with roles that have included Edgar Linton in Wuthering Heights, Algernon Moncrieff in The Importance of Being Earnest, Norman in The Dresser (twice – for which he won a BTG Best Actor Award), Happy in Death of a Salesman, Dr Martin Dysart in Equus (for which he won the BTG Outstanding Perfomance Award) and District Attorney Flint in Night of January 16th to name just a few of the plays in which Pierse has appeared in principle roles. Pierse also has an impressive list of classical theatre characters to his name having played King Creon in The Tango Medea (a modern adaptation of The Medea by Euripides), and in Shakespeare he has played Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Pettruccio and Grumio in two separate productions of The Taming of the Shrew, Antipholus of Ephasus and Duke Solinus in two separate productions of The Comedy of Errors. Egeus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Brutus in Julius Caesar, and the eponomous hero Macbeth in 2017. He will also be appearing as Sebastian in The Tempest in 2018. On radio Pierse recently recorded the role of Hamlet’s Father’s Ghost in Shakespeare’s Hamlet which will be broadcast in early 2018. Pierse has a string of voiceover recordings to his name both for corporate films and television documentaries. As an author Pierse debut novel (with the working title Exodus) is due to be published in early 2018. The novel is the first in a series of seven crime novels all centred around a Murder Investigation Team in London. Pierse is also putting the finishing touches to his first feature film screenplay which is a semi biographical film set at the height of the Indian Mutiny in 1857. Pierse also has the outline plans drawn up for three other feature film scripts – he just needs to find the time to write them!
