Prior to becoming a professional actress, Elizabeth followed a few career paths which have all provided her with diverse skills and abilities which she feels she can bring to the different characters she may be asked to portray. Elizabeth is a qualified lawyer and worked as a solicitor in Scotland until she joined the Army as a Captain in the Army Legal Corps. She then retrained as a secondary school teacher, teaching Law, Politics, Latin and Classics. Since graduating from The Brian Timoney Actors` Studio in London and Los Angeles, Elizabeth has been blessed with many wonderful performing opportunities, not only in film and theatre, but also in Corporate and Commercial work. These include a role in the 2017 BBC One production “Armchair Detectives”, produced by Tiger Aspect productions and presented by Susan Calman. Elizabeth enjoys playing serious and comedic roles and woks energetically and enthusiastically with a commitment to becoming the best actress she can be. She was nominated three times the “Best Leading Actress” Category at various film festivals, the most recent being the World Independent Cinema Awards, for her role as a terminally ill cancer sufferer in the short film “Crepes”. She also appeared in the Solo Festival, hosted by the Anglo- Russian Theatre , performing “The Human Voice “ by Jean Cocteau , and won third place in the Festival. More recently she performed in the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh. Elizabeth is also a singer and was a lead vocalist in a Scottish Folk Band.
